Holiday Cheer

My grandmother was a rock-solid foundation for all Christmas-related activities when I was growing up. As early as  July, she would begin organizing and meal planning, deciding on what our gift-giving strategy would be for the season, figuring out who would come over to cut and decorate the tree, and most importantly, which family in need we would be surprising with gifts and treasures on Christmas Eve. She embodied everything about the spirit of Christmas. She taught me that generosity and kindness matter and that

when darkness settles in, it is up to us to spread love, light, and cheer

to those in need.
